Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on an official visit to France and Slovakia, arrived in Nice and said that creating new innovations is “in India’s DNA” and that the country is emerging as a provider of solutions to global challenges.
He was received at the airport by French ministers, and later met members of the Indian diaspora in Nice, who welcomed him with cultural performances. Modi also met French President Emmanuel Macron, who greeted him warmly.
Modi and Macron jointly inaugurated the “Bharat Innovates” innovation conference, attended by startup leaders and business representatives in France. Modi said India and France share a forward-looking partnership rooted in innovation and inspiration.
He described the platform as a bridge between Indian talent and European capital, enabling young Indian thinkers to connect with European experts. Modi said India is witnessing a startup-driven transformation, with youth working on solutions for the benefit of humanity.
The Prime Minister highlighted India’s growing startup ecosystem and said innovation is expanding into areas such as defence, space and nuclear energy reforms. He added that India is increasingly being seen as a technology provider and invited investors to collaborate with Indian startups.
