The divorce case involving Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) leader and Chief Minister Vijay and his wife Sangeetha has been adjourned to August 7, the court said on Monday.

According to the case records, Sangeetha filed a petition at the Chengalpattu district court on December 24, 2025, seeking divorce and permanent maintenance.

The matter first came up for hearing on February 26, when it was transferred to the Chengalpattu First Family Welfare Court and posted for a later date.

When the case was taken up again on June 15, lawyers for both sides sought permission to appear for the hearing online. The court rejected the request, stating that video-conferencing hearing was not available, and adjourned the case to August 7.
