Mumbai: Political circles in Maharashtra are abuzz with talk of an “Operation Tiger”, amid reports that some MPs and MLAs from Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena could move to Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s faction.

According to the reports, seven Lok Sabha MPs from the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena are expected to join the Shinde-led Shiv Sena ahead of the upcoming session of Parliament.

Shiv Sena leader and MLA Krupalu Mane said the seven MPs would be brought into the Shinde camp before the session begins, adding that an “Operation Tiger” would soon play out in Maharashtra politics.

Mane also claimed that after the MPs, a similar effort would be carried out among MLAs, and that 16 MLAs are currently in contact with Eknath Shinde.
