RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Tuesday said Indians can never be slaves, calling unity the country’s enduring strength.

Addressing a gathering in Rajasthan, Bhagwat referred to a situation where one’s forces may be smaller and have fewer resources than the opponent, but said truth can still be on one’s side. He described Indians as a cultured people who would never accept slavery.

He argued that India’s past should not be seen as a history of slavery, but as a history of struggle against those who tried to subjugate the country.

Bhagwat stressed that real unity comes from mental and emotional togetherness, which he said reflects Indian culture. While people may disagree on many issues, he noted that when an enemy challenges the nation at the border, Indians set differences aside and unite.

He added that India should remain united even when there are no external threats.
