During a group photo moment in Evian, France, Meloni met Modi and said she was happy to see him again. As Modi began mentioning Instagram, Meloni smiled and quipped that the two of them are the world’s “famous couple” on the platform.
The remark was captured on a microphone, and the clip has since been widely shared online.
Videos featuring the two leaders have frequently drawn attention on social media. During Modi’s visit to Italy last month, clips of their interactions—from travelling together in a car to dining—were widely circulated, with the “Melodi” chocolate gift also becoming a talking point.
