DMK MPs have reportedly been allotted seats in the Lok Sabha that were earlier occupied by Trinamool Congress MPs, according to information emerging from Parliament sources.

Until now, DMK members were seated near Congress MPs in the House, reflecting their alliance during the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

However, DMK parliamentary party leader Kanimozhi is said to have written to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, stating that due to a changed political situation, DMK MPs could no longer sit alongside Congress MPs and sought alternative seating.

Following this, seats for DMK MPs have reportedly been arranged in the third block that was allotted to the Trinamool Congress. Officials are also said to be examining the possibility of providing separate seating for dissatisfied Trinamool MPs.
