DMK president M.K. Stalin has advised the party’s MLAs to give priority to people’s issues while speaking in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly and to place their arguments firmly.

The guidance was delivered at a meeting of DMK MLAs held at Anna Arivalayam in Chennai on Tuesday, convened to discuss how the party should function during the Assembly session that begins today with the Governor’s address.

Stalin said the DMK must act as a strong and effective principal Opposition. He asked members to raise questions, present well-reasoned points and ensure 100% participation during the proceedings.

He also urged MLAs to meet people in their constituencies and work in a way that the public feels the DMK will come forward to help, whether the party is in power or not, according to those who attended the meeting.
