DMK president M.K. Stalin has reportedly issued a new set of directions to party MLAs during a meeting held at the party headquarters, Anna Arivalayam, in Chennai.
According to sources, Stalin told DMK legislators to hold discussions with ministers during the Assembly session on implementing public welfare schemes. However, he instructed them not to participate in government functions and review meetings attended by ministers.
He asked MLAs to attend review meetings conducted by district collectors and closely monitor development works in their constituencies. Stalin is also said to have remarked that the present government has only about six months left, after which the DMK would return to power.
He further urged party MLAs to raise their voice on law-and-order concerns, including crimes against women and children.
