The Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly on Thursday unanimously passed a resolution opposing Karnataka’s proposed Mekedatu dam across the Cauvery river.
The resolution was moved by Chief Minister Vijay. Members from across parties spoke in support of the motion during the discussion.
Leader of the Opposition Udhayanidhi also expressed full support for the resolution, as the House came together in a rare show of unanimity on the Cauvery issue.
