Afghanistan recovered from an early collapse against India in the third and final ODI at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Friday.
After winning the toss, Afghanistan chose to bat first but struggled against the Indian pace attack. Prasidh Krishna struck early, removing Rahmanullah Gurbaz (5), Ibrahim (11), Rahmat Shah (5) and Rasooli (1).
The visitors were reduced to 36 for 4, putting them under pressure in the opening phase of the innings.
Captain Shahidi and Omarzai then came together and played a composed partnership. Both reached their half-centuries, helping Afghanistan rebuild and lift the score steadily.
The match is ongoing.
