Chennai: Minister Sengottaiyan on Saturday said it was “funny” that the AIADMK was raising questions about the live telecast of the Tamil Nadu Assembly.

Referring to the previous regime, he alleged that the live broadcast used to carry only the Chief Minister’s speech and not the speeches of other members. He said that while minor shortcomings could exist now, the government would ensure the telecast is handled without discrimination.

In the same interaction, Sengottaiyan praised Chief Minister Vijay for what he described as clear thinking and long-term planning. He claimed that several people, including from the AIADMK, were joining TVK, and said this reflected dissatisfaction with how the party was being led.

He also said that those who had joined the party so far were not facing any corruption allegations.
