The Union government has banned 16 fixed-dose combination (FDC) medicines, citing concerns that they could pose risks to public health.
The Union Health Ministry said the move is aimed at protecting public health and ensuring that only scientifically validated medicines are available to the public. It has directed state drug controllers, regulatory authorities and enforcement agencies to ensure the order is implemented.
Manufacturers, importers, distributors and other stakeholders have also been instructed to take necessary corrective steps in compliance with the law.

- Acetylsalicylic acid + Etoheptazine
- Dicyclomine + Paracetamol + Clidinium bromide
- Dicyclomine + Paracetamol + Clidinium bromide + Chlordiazepoxide
- Gliclazide + Chromium picolinate
- Paracetamol + Lignocaine
- Amoxicillin + Serratiopeptidase + Lactobacillus
- Amoxicillin + Cloxacillin + Lactic acid bacillus + Serratiopeptidase
- Amoxicillin + Serratiopeptidase
- Cefadroxil + Probenecid
- Cefuroxime + Serratiopeptidase
- 10 skin/beauty ointments containing Aloe vera with Vitamin E, Vitamin A, jojoba oil, orange oil, tea tree oil and similar herbal ingredients
