The trial in the Kodanad estate murder and robbery case was adjourned to July 17, as ordered by Sessions Judge Muralidharan at the Ooty sessions court.
The case relates to the killing of a security guard and a robbery at the Kodanad estate in Kotagiri, Nilgiris district. The matter came up for hearing on Friday.
Accused Valaiyar Manoj, Deepu, Santhosh Sami and Satheesan appeared before the court. Officials from the CB-CID also attended the proceedings.
The adjournment followed the resignation of government prosecutors Shajahan and Kanagaraj, citing a change in administration. The prosecution sought time for the appointment of new government lawyers, after which the court granted the request and posted the case for the next hearing date.
