Chennai: ‘We The Leaders’ founder Annamalai has criticised an incident in Kancheepuram district where a group of party workers allegedly entered a government school classroom and disrupted lessons to shoot social media reels.

In a statement, he said that near Uthiramerur, more than 20 members of the TVK party went into a classroom, fixed Chief Minister Vijay’s photograph on the wall and recorded reels that were later shared online.

Annamalai also alleged that government schools have deteriorated over the past five years, with even basic buildings lacking in many places. He said the current School Education Minister Rajmohan faces a major task in restoring the stature of government schools.

He warned that such activities by party workers would further worsen the situation in government schools. He urged the Chief Minister and the School Education Minister to instruct party members to ensure such incidents do not recur, adding that he believes CM Vijay himself would not approve of disrupting classes.
