Chennai Police have registered a case of alleged land fraud against Siddharth, son of North Chennai DMK MP Kalanidhi Veerasamy, along with three others. The case has been filed based on a complaint submitted in 2024.
According to the complaint, Anbukkarasu from Karur alleged that he was cheated in a deal involving 14 grounds of land. He claimed the accused obtained a power document in his name but did not pay the promised money.
The complainant also alleged that he was abused using caste-based slurs during the dispute. Based on this, police have additionally registered a case under provisions related to atrocities and untouchability.
The FIR names Siddharth, DMK councillor Rani, the MP’s assistant Asai Thambi, and Narayanan as accused in the case. Further action is expected as the investigation proceeds.
