Chennai: DMK leader M.K. Stalin has said that halting the state’s “Naan Mudhalvan” programme would amount to blocking the development of young people in Tamil Nadu.
In a statement, Stalin alleged that the programme’s social media pages could be renamed and past posts deleted, but insisted that its achievements and the gratitude it generated cannot be removed from people’s minds.
He said the scheme had helped fulfil the dreams of many youngsters, and that its impact has been deeply etched in their hearts.
Referring to his tenure, Stalin said he repeatedly urged students to “study, study, study” over the last five years, and that “Naan Mudhalvan” was launched as his dream project to support youth who want to learn and progress.
He reiterated that any move to stall the programme would directly affect the growth prospects of Tamil Nadu’s youth.
