Minister Nirmal Kumar on Saturday alleged that certain individuals associated with Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) were attempting to form a government through “shortcuts”. He made the remarks while speaking to reporters in Madurai.
According to the minister, the effort was driven by a desire to protect the interests of two families and safeguard assets by retaining control of power. He claimed that an earlier attempt to reach an understanding and form a government did not succeed.
Nirmal Kumar further alleged that the attempt to form a government through indirect means was continuing even now, and said party workers would eventually question how long they would be expected to work to protect a family.
He also said that administrators who engage in “honest politics” and stay connected with the public were not accepting such moves, and were joining his party. He added that accommodating new entrants and arranging roles for them would take some time, and that the party was working on it.
