New Delhi: Congress Lok Sabha MP Priyanka Gandhi, daughter of Sonia Gandhi, resides in a government bungalow in the Lodi Estate area. A government bungalow allotted to a Tamil Nadu MP is located next door.

According to party sources, when there is heavy vehicle movement at Priyanka’s residence, cars are sometimes parked near the neighbouring bungalow. While the proximity brings some convenience, it has also led to frequent interruptions.

Congress workers visiting the Tamil Nadu MP’s bungalow reportedly assume Priyanka lives next door and attempt to meet her directly, despite tight security. Priyanka is said to have firmly declined such requests, telling them that meetings should be sought only through the party office and not at her home.

Some workers are still said to wait outside in the hope of seeing her when she steps out. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi is reported to visit Priyanka at the bungalow often for long political discussions, but he is not said to be meeting the neighbouring senior MP, a situation that has reportedly caused disappointment and is linked to existing differences.
