A light moment unfolded in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly during a discussion on how drinking water is served to MLAs.
One member pointed out that water is currently provided in tumblers, which increases the workload for staff. The MLA suggested that keeping water in bottles would be easier, and said glass bottles could be used.
The remark prompted a humorous intervention from Premalatha Vijayakanth. She said that if someone decides to throw something away, they would even hurl a tumbler.
Her comment triggered laughter across the Assembly, turning the exchange into a brief comic interlude in the proceedings.
