Chennai: Chief Minister Vijay told the Tamil Nadu Assembly that he is not bothered by anyone who mocks or satirises him. He made the remarks while replying to the debate on the motion thanking the Governor for the address.
In his response, Vijay thanked the people of Tamil Nadu for electing his government and said representatives from 12 parties have been chosen. Even if parties differ in ideology and positions, he said public service remains the common duty for all.
The Chief Minister said his rise was possible because of the support of the people, whom he described as equal to God. Recalling his journey from fan clubs to public work, he said the movement had worked hard and also fought on issues including jallikattu.
Vijay said his government reflects a “common people’s rule” and pointed to youth participation as an answer to those who questioned what young people could achieve. He also claimed that in the 2026 election, divisions of caste and religion that were said to be unbreakable had been broken.
He added that his government does not know how to loot temple money, turn government revenue into a personal treasury, or promote a drug culture.
