Chennai: Chief Minister Vijay returned a cake that was brought to the Secretariat for his birthday, without cutting it.
Vijay marked his 53rd birthday on Sunday. He received greetings from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union ministers and former Chief Minister Stalin, among others.
According to reports, a three-tier cake was arranged by a person from the film industry and brought to the Secretariat for the occasion.
Police allowed the cake to be taken close to the Chief Minister’s room without imposing any special restrictions. However, citing the Kannigai Per ammonia gas leak incident, Vijay chose not to cut the cake and sent it back.
