Queen Máxima of the Netherlands has praised India’s progress in financial inclusion and the development of digital public infrastructure.
She is in India on a three-day visit in her capacity as the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Advocate, with a focus on the country’s financial health.
Speaking to reporters in Delhi, Queen Máxima said she was happy to return to India and noted that she has worked with the country for a long time on issues related to financial inclusion for all people.
She said India has performed strongly in building digital public infrastructure, and stressed that the next priority is to use these systems to improve the quality of life for everyone.
