The Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday issued orders transferring 15 IPS officers across Chennai and other police units. The reshuffle includes postings in commissionerates, specialised wings and district policing.

Along with the transfers, five Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) have been promoted as Superintendents of Police (SPs), according to the order.

Key postings include Kannan as Deputy Commissioner (Headquarters), Tambaram; Stalin as Deputy Commissioner, Tambaram Central Crime Branch; and Geethanjali as Deputy Commissioner in the wing dealing with crimes against women.

Other appointments include Ramesh Babu as SP, Anti-Terrorism wing; Velmurugan as SP, Modernisation wing; and Udhayakumar as SP, Tiruvannamalai.

Several deputy commissioner postings were also made in Avadi, Adyar, Koyambedu, Tiruppur (North and South), Tirunelveli West and Tiruchy North, while Arpita Rajput was posted as SP, Chennai CBCID North Zone.
