Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay on Monday used a brief anecdote in the Assembly to make a pointed, sarcastic remark.
He described an elderly man searching with his hand shielding his eyes. A small boy approaches and asks what he is looking for. The elderly man replies that the boy’s father should be there, but says he cannot find him.
Vijay said he too knows how to speak with humour and irony, adding that the line was part of the story and that no one needed to get “tense” over it.
He also remarked that even after speaking for only five minutes, there was a reaction from Kolathur, and questioned what more one is expected to say when repeatedly asked to speak.
