Madurai-based Annamalai, who has exited the BJP and is now leading the “We The Leader” movement, is set to hold a public meeting against drug culture in Tiruchendur on July 19.
According to Vishnuprasad, a supporter of Annamalai from Madurai, the event is intended to underline that the organisation is functioning with the welfare of the state in mind.
He said the anti-drug theme has been chosen as the first step, and Tiruchendur in Thoothukudi district has been finalised as the venue.
Vishnuprasad added that Annamalai is currently holding discussions with office-bearers and coordinators as part of the preparations for the meeting.
