Dinamalar has launched a dedicated WhatsApp Channel for its cinema section, extending the reach of its recently revamped portal, cinema.dinamalar.com.
The newspaper, which is marking its 75th year, said its digital platform dinamalar.com has been serving readers for 28 years with a wide range of content including education, sports, spirituality and cinema.
According to the announcement, the cinema site has been redesigned in a new, “Insta-style” format. It features updates not only from Tamil cinema but also from Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada industries, along with reviews, interviews, photo albums, shorts, videos, trailers and teasers.
Dinamalar already operates across social platforms such as Facebook, X, Instagram and WhatsApp, and maintains separate social handles for its cinema coverage. As the next step, the cinema section has now been introduced as a standalone WhatsApp Channel.
The channel will carry “hot” cinema updates, trailers, reviews and exclusive photos and videos, with readers invited to follow the Dinamalar Cinema WhatsApp Channel to receive updates.
