The Union government has released the list of soldiers who were martyred during Operation Sindoor, marking the first time their names have been made public. The names are set to be inscribed at the National War Memorial in Delhi.

Operation Sindoor was launched after a brutal attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, in which Pakistan-based terrorists killed 26 civilians. In response, India carried out strikes on terrorist camps and air force bases in Pakistan, during which many terrorists were reported killed.

The operation was halted after four days, according to the report, following Pakistan’s request. As part of the government’s broader release of names of personnel who died in various military operations last year, the names of those killed in Operation Sindoor were also included.

Those listed as martyred are: Subedar Major Pawan Kumar, Rifleman Sunil Kumar, Lance Naik Dinesh Kumar, Agniveer Murali Nayak, Havildar Sunil Kumar Singh, and Indian Air Force Sergeant Surendra Kumar.
