Minister Sengottaiyan has responded to a challenge from BJP leader Nainar Nagenthiran, who reportedly demanded that the minister resign.
In remarks carried by Dinamalar TV, Sengottaiyan questioned the basis of the resignation call and reacted strongly to the demand.
He said that if Nainar insists a minister must resign, then Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan should resign first.
The exchange has added to the ongoing political sparring between the leaders, with Sengottaiyan’s rebuttal drawing attention on social media and in political circles.
