Ireland completed a memorable double over India with a one-run win in the second and final T20I in Belfast, sealing the two-match series 2-0. The result marked Ireland’s first-ever T20I series victory over India.

After India won the toss and chose to bowl, Ireland slipped early to 21 for 2 with Paul Stirling (5) and Adair (16) departing quickly. However, a steady middle-order effort, led by a half-century from Tector (53), helped the hosts post 154 for 8 in 20 overs, with Benjamin adding 37 and Dockrell scoring 19.

For India, the debutant picked up three wickets, while Arshdeep Singh and Shivam Dube took two each and Harshit Rana claimed one. Chasing 155, India suffered a dramatic start as Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma were dismissed for golden ducks, and Ishan Kishan (12) and Shreyas Iyer (10) also fell cheaply to leave the visitors 35 for 4.

Tilak Varma and Axar Patel rebuilt cautiously, but rain interrupted play when India were 54 for 4 after eight overs. On resumption, Axar (14) and Dube (20) got out, while Tilak fought on to a 55 before falling.

Needing 15 off the last five balls, India managed only 13, handing Ireland a thrilling one-run victory and a historic series triumph.
