Minister Shahjahan, a leader of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), has cautioned the DMK over remarks made by some of its members against Muslim League leaders.
Speaking on the issue, he said DMK functionaries should refrain from making disparaging comments and “criticising as they please” about IUML leaders.
Shahjahan argued that continuing such criticism would not help the DMK and could instead lead to a setback for the party.
The comments were reported in a Dinamalar TV video published on June 28, 2026.
