The contest was played between the teams that finished second in their respective groups, and both sides started aggressively. Norway took the lead in the 39th minute when Antonio Nusa struck with his left foot to make it 1-0 at half-time.

Ivory Coast responded after the break and drew level in the 74th minute through a well-taken goal by Amad Diallo, setting up a tense finish.

In the 86th minute, Norway’s star striker Erling Haaland produced the decisive moment, scoring the winner to seal the victory. It was Haaland’s 60th goal in international matches.

Norway will now face Brazil in the Round of 16.
