Pirates who attempted to break into a cargo vessel in the Gulf of Aden were driven away by the Indian Navy, according to reports from the region.

The cargo ship, identified as MV Golden Arsenal, was sailing towards India after loading key goods near the port of Aden in Yemen when it came under attack. The intruders allegedly tried to board the vessel and carry out a robbery.

Crew members, including Indian personnel, moved into a secure room for safety. Using radio communication, they alerted the Indian Navy about the piracy attempt.

On receiving the distress message, the Indian Navy warship INS Trikand rushed at high speed towards the vessel. Seeing the naval ship approach, the pirates fled the scene.

Following the incident, MARCOS commandos carried out an operation to enter the ship and bring it under control, ensuring the vessel’s security.
