Spain produced a commanding display to defeat Austria 3-0 in the FIFA World Cup Round of 32, sealing a comfortable place in the next stage.

The tournament is being held across the United States, Canada and Mexico. In the knockout clash, Spain controlled possession and dictated the tempo from the opening minutes.

Spain broke the deadlock in the 36th minute when star forward Mikel Oyarzabal struck to give his side a 1-0 lead at half-time.

Austria struggled to cope with Spain’s pressure after the break. Pedro Porro doubled the advantage in the 66th minute, before Oyarzabal completed his brace with a late goal in the 89th minute.

With the 3-0 win, Spain advanced confidently to the next round, while Austria exited the World Cup.
