Sundeep Anand, the son of senior DMK functionary and MP Jagathrakshakan, has joined Thavega in Chennai on Friday.
According to the report, the induction took place at Thavega’s office in Panaiyur, where he formally entered the party in the presence of Minister Anand.
The development comes amid a steady flow of leaders from various parties joining Thavega after the Vijay-led government assumed office in Tamil Nadu. The report noted that former AIADMK ministers had earlier joined the party through a large public event.
Thavega also announced a list of other new entrants on the same day, including former AIADMK minister Vaigai Selvan, former AIADMK district secretary Kandan, former DMK MLA Kalairajan, and actor Ravi Maria.
Separately, the report said there is information that Gayathri, daughter of another DMK MP, Tiruchi Siva, may join Thavega soon.
