Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said his government does not limit itself to inaugurations, but works “day and night” to ensure development projects are completed. He was speaking after launching multiple initiatives in Balotra, Rajasthan.

Modi said people from across Rajasthan were connected through technology and noted the large turnout even during the summer. He said the public participation reflected strong trust in the BJP government’s efforts.

Referring to India’s goal of becoming a developed and self-reliant nation, the Prime Minister said a key step had been taken from Rajasthan’s soil. He also paid tribute to the state’s tradition of courage and self-respect.

Modi said a refinery had been dedicated to the nation and would create jobs for thousands, offering special congratulations to Rajasthan’s youth. He also noted the opening of a new airport terminal in Jodhpur, saying it would boost tourism, trade and employment, and improve air connectivity for smaller towns and remote areas.

On the global situation, Modi said the war in West Asia had triggered turmoil worldwide and led to what he described as the 21st century’s biggest energy crisis. He said India’s resolve and efforts had helped the country overcome the impact of the crisis, and added that 54,000 youth in Rajasthan had received government job appointment letters on the day.
