DMK president M.K. Stalin left Chennai on Saturday for London, travelling with his family. He is scheduled to fly from Chennai to Dubai and then onward to London.

Party workers gathered at the Chennai airport and gave him a warm send-off. The trip is linked to a family event, with Stalin set to attend the graduation ceremony of his grandson, Inbanidhi.

Ahead of the visit, Stalin wrote a letter to party members saying he would be abroad for about two weeks. Even so, he said his thoughts would remain at Anna Arivalayam, the DMK headquarters.

In the same message, he also commented on the current political scene, stating that some parties were unable to withstand even a single defeat. He added that no other party in India matched the DMK’s organisational strength.
