Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shared a video on social media featuring his interaction with women employees working at a semiconductor facility in Sanand, Gujarat. In the post, he said he felt proud after seeing the strength and determination of the women at the plant.
Modi had inaugurated and inspected the CG Semi semiconductor plant in the Sanand area. The facility is among four key projects approved in the first phase under the Union government’s India Semiconductor Mission, and has been built with an investment of Rs 7,500 crore.
Calling the interaction one of the most memorable moments of the inauguration, the Prime Minister noted that a majority of the plant’s workforce are women. He said many of them come from remote parts of the country, including several from tribal backgrounds.
According to Modi, their strong resolve helped them learn about semiconductors, undergo training, and now contribute to strengthening India’s semiconductor sector. He reiterated that he was proud of “women’s power.”
