The Supreme Court is set to hear a petition filed by the DMK on Monday in connection with the Karur stampede case.
The incident occurred on September 27, 2025, during a campaign meeting organised by the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) in Karur. A crowd crush reportedly led to the deaths of 41 people.
A CBI investigation is currently underway under the supervision of a retired Supreme Court judge, according to the report.
As part of the probe, the CBI has questioned TVK leader and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay, along with ministers Anand and Aadhav Arjuna, on multiple occasions.
