New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a supplementary chargesheet in the Pahalgam terror attack case, naming Pakistan-based terrorist Hafiz Saeed as an accused.
The attack took place on April 22, 2025, at the tourist destination of Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, in which 26 tourists were killed. Security forces later shot dead three terrorists linked to the incident.
After completing its investigation, the NIA had filed a chargesheet in December before a special court. That chargesheet had named Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist Sajid Jatt as the key conspirator.
In the latest filing before the special court, the agency has added Saeed, described as the chief of the banned LeT and its affiliate, The Resistance Front. The charges include waging war against India and planning a cross-border conspiracy.
