Egypt stunned Argentina early, with Yasser Ibrahim scoring in the 15th minute to give his side a 1-0 lead at the break. The pressure continued after the restart as Egypt found another breakthrough in the 67th minute through Mostafa Zico, stretching the advantage to 2-0.
With time running out, Argentina mounted a fierce comeback. Cristian Romero pulled one back in the 79th minute, shifting the momentum and setting up a tense finish.
Captain Lionel Messi then delivered in the 83rd minute, scoring to make it 2-2 and ignite the stadium. In stoppage time (90+3), Enzo Fernandez beat the goalkeeper to seal a 3-2 thriller, sending Argentina into the last eight while Egypt exited despite a strong fight.
