Chennai: Chief Minister Vijay has instructed officials to ensure that government welfare assistance under the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department reaches all eligible beneficiaries.
The direction was issued during a review meeting at the Chennai Secretariat chaired by the Chief Minister, focusing on the department’s schemes and ongoing activities.
During the meeting, allegations were raised that certain beneficiaries are not receiving scheme benefits. In response, the Chief Minister asked officials to examine whether all eligible persons are being covered.
He also directed the administration to verify delivery of benefits and to conduct periodic reviews to prevent gaps in implementation, according to the statement.
