The Madras High Court on Tuesday ordered an interim stay on the publication of Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) results.
The order came while hearing a petition that sought a reduction in the minimum qualifying marks for candidates in the general category from 60% to 50%.
The matter was heard by Justice P.T. Asha. The Tamil Nadu government informed the court that a policy decision on lowering the qualifying marks is under consideration and requested time.
Directing the state to communicate its decision by July 24, the court said the results should not be released until then and issued an interim stay.
