Continuous heavy rain in Maharashtra has triggered flooding in parts of the state, with a major incident reported from Raigad district.
Officials said floodwater entered an HPCL LPG cylinder filling plant after intense rainfall. Around 3,000 LPG cylinders—both filled and empty—were swept away into the Patalganga river.
The district administration has warned residents not to approach or handle any cylinders seen floating in the river or along its banks. The district collector appealed to the public to avoid risky attempts and to immediately inform authorities if any LPG cylinders are spotted.
Meanwhile, heavy rain in Delhi has led to waterlogging across several localities, with flood-like runoff reported on roads. Traffic was disrupted on key stretches including Ring Road, Outer Ring Road, the Delhi–Noida Expressway and National Highway 48 in areas such as Dhaula Kuan, Mahipalpur and Rajokri.
