MDMK general secretary Vaiko on Tuesday alleged that the Tamil Nadu government is struggling with a financial crunch and is finding it difficult to implement its promises.
Speaking in Chennai, Vaiko said the government is grappling with how to manage the situation, and argued that several commitments could be fulfilled if the Union government allocates funds without “bias”.
He also referred to the DMK moving the Supreme Court to prevent actor-politician Vijay from visiting Karur, and claimed the party faced a setback in court.
Vaiko further spoke about former minister Senthil Balaji and said he had refrained from criticising earlier when his party was part of the DMK alliance. He added that he had once thought of boycotting the Assembly elections, but decided to contest as non-participation could lead to the party’s registration being cancelled.
