We the Leaders founder Annamalai has issued a statement calling for the closure of TASMAC liquor outlets located near educational institutions, places of worship and bus stands across Tamil Nadu.
Citing a field study conducted by his team in parts of Chennai, he said the survey indicated that several TASMAC shops were situated close to such public locations.
Annamalai said the organisation would continue to press the Tamil Nadu government to shut these outlets, arguing that their proximity to schools and other public spaces is a concern.
