India suffered another setback against England, losing the fourth T20 by nine wickets at Bristol and conceding the five-match series 3-0. The defeat came despite a strong batting effort led by captain Shreyas Iyer.

After winning the toss, India chose to bat and posted 158 for 7 in 20 overs. Openers Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Abhishek Sharma provided a modest start, while Ishan Kishan fell early. Iyer then steadied the innings with Shivam Dube, adding 53 for the fourth wicket.

Iyer accelerated late, striking a key over off Adil Rashid and finishing unbeaten on 80 off 49 balls, with five sixes and four fours. England’s bowlers Jofra Archer and Josh Tongue picked up two wickets each.

In reply, England chased the target with ease, losing only Jos Buttler early. Phil Salt and captain Harry Brook dominated India’s attack, reaching the target in 13.5 overs with both batters unbeaten on 59 and 79 respectively.

With England now 3-0 up after four games, India have lost the series. The fifth and final T20 is scheduled for July 11.
