Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Auckland on Friday, concluding the earlier legs of his official tour to Indonesia and Australia before reaching New Zealand.
At the airport, New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon received Modi and welcomed him with a warm greeting. A red-carpet reception was arranged on arrival.
Following the reception, Modi was greeted by New Zealand ministers and Indian officials present at the airport.
During his Indonesia and Australia visits, Modi met national leaders, business representatives and members of the Indian diaspora. The report said several key agreements were signed during those two legs.
The visit is being noted as Modi becoming the first Indian Prime Minister to travel to New Zealand in 40 years, according to the report.
