Gold rates ease in Chennai
Gold jewellery prices in Chennai declined on Friday (July 11). The 22-carat rate fell by Rs 400 per sovereign to Rs 1,06,400, while the per-gram price dropped by Rs 50 to Rs 13,300.
Recent movement
In Tamil Nadu, 22-carat gold was sold the day before yesterday at Rs 13,320 per gram and Rs 1,06,560 per sovereign. Silver was priced at Rs 245 per gram.
On Thursday, gold moved up, rising by Rs 30 per gram to Rs 13,350 and by Rs 240 per sovereign to Rs 1,06,800. Silver remained unchanged.
Silver prices fall
On July 11, silver also saw a decline, slipping by Rs 5 per gram to Rs 240. The kilogram rate fell by Rs 5,000 to Rs 2,40,000.
