A Hyderabad-based company that rents out film-shooting equipment has filed a complaint alleging it was threatened when it tried to collect pending dues linked to a movie production.

According to the complaint, Taher Cine Tech supplies instruments and technical gear required for cinema shoots. The firm said the crew of the film “Anandan Kaadu”, featuring actor Arya, hired high-end equipment including advanced cameras for the shoot.

The company claimed that a rental amount of Rs 2.12 crore was agreed for the equipment. It alleged that when a representative went to collect the outstanding payment, threats were made.
