Chief Minister Vijay on Monday inaugurated the renovated MLA office of Perambur constituency in Chennai and interacted with residents by receiving their grievance petitions.

Vijay, who had won from two constituencies in the Assembly election on behalf of his party, resigned as MLA of Tiruchirappalli East and is continuing as the Perambur MLA. This was his first visit to the constituency after the election results.

At the office in Sharma Nagar, officials briefed the Chief Minister on the facilities available. Minister Sengottaiyan and others greeted him and offered bouquets during the event.

Vijay also inaugurated an e-service centre at the premises, distributed ration cards, patta documents and welfare assistance, and introduced a “People Service” mobile application through which Perambur residents can submit complaints on constituency-related issues.

Later, he was scheduled to visit an electric vehicle charging station set up at the Vyasarpadi Metro and inspect a ration shop in MKB Nagar, where he was expected to review operations and distribute ration cards and essential items. A large crowd gathered in the area ahead of his visit.
